Description:

This course introduces learners to the history, theories and practices of providing pastoral care to parishioners to meet primarily their spiritual needs through the means of grace. Learners will fulfill this requirement by offering their services to medical institutions and other settings that require spiritual assistance. Culminating activity-learners will complete a 6-8-week internship at a medical facility or may choose a chaplaincy ministry of their choice under their instructor’s supervision. A capstone project at the end of the course is required.
