This course emphasizes the nature of culture from the perspective of anthropology. It provides learners with an in-depth survey of language including topics such as kinship, social structure, political organization, technology, economic systems, culture change, art and religion. It exposes learners to a cross-cultural approach, and provides examples on literate and non-literate societies of the world. Learners gain knowledge through the examination of economic and cultural globalization processes.
